!Viva Operations!

If it moves, steams, heats, or combusts, Opscura wants to protect it.
Opscura brings the reliable and cautious hands of operations together with the analytical minds of cyber experts and cryptography researchers. Collaborate with our diverse international team to solve multiple ICS problems in simple new ways.

El Camino de Opscura

It started among friends in the blustery north and scorching south of Spain, as curious minds dove into melding concepts from computer science and physics. Gerard Vidal and Carlos Tomás began the journey…

What did speed, simplicity and security all have in common? What did Chua and Hopf models have to do with gravity and signal obfuscation? Could research in satellite comms indicate new opportunities for earth-bound security technologies?

After trekking through electrical substations, train depots, particle accelerator labs and university halls, listening intently to collaborative industrial operators, innovation struck.

Over a decade later, brand name railway and renewable energy customers rely on Opscura’s approach to protect and connect the core data of industrial networks at level 2 and layer 2, without operational interference.

The early Enigmedia brand has evolved into the American Opscura global operation. Better yet, Opscura’s approach holds true to its co-founder origins, incorporating amiable ease-of-use to leave coworkers and friends more time for tapas after hours. Taking the people, process and technical needs in mind, Opscura delivers security that’s safe, simple, and friendly for everyone in your ICS security ecosystem.

Painless for OT. Vigilant for IT. Friendly to your existing PLCs and threat monitoring partners. Together with our ecosystem, our journey continues!
